Nobody is above the law!

However, when it comes to who is a citizen, the law isn’t clear.
There have been several movies that have come out with the name “Running Scared”. In 1986, Billy Crystal and Gregory Hines starred in a film about two police officers. Twenty years later, another movie with the same name but a different plot came out about a drug deal gone wrong. A third movie could be produced about the Republican Party and how afraid they are about John Breaux running for Governor.
Stacey Tallitsch, candidate for Congress in 2006 against Bobby Jindal, provided this site the most recent act done by the Louisiana Republican Party that shows how scared they are of John Breaux and what he may do if he is deemed eligible to run by the courts (the entity that will ultimately determine Breaux’s fate if necessary).

The LAGOP did stick this small quote in the corner of the website. “Citizen, unfortunately, is not technically defined in the state Constitution; nor is it in many other states”. This is the most important fact in this whole drama. Nowhere is the term citizen clearly defined. This makes it the responsibility of the courts to interpret the law and determine whether Breaux’s heart lays in Louisiana or in Maryland. If someone wants to give up a million dollar job and take a pay cut to be Governor of Louisiana in a time of need, I am pretty sure that Breaux’s heart is with Louisiana.
And they also use what looks to be that same photoshopped image of Breaux that “JIG” was using for a while (Again, note the shadow behind his head).

The recent poll showing that 78% of voters have not committed to a particular candidate in the 2007 race also showed that if the election was held today, Jindal would win by a margin of 5% against John Breaux. That is a VERY small margin for Breaux to pick up. I think we can all see why Jindal and the LAGOP are scared out of their minds. Mr. 432 may lose his 2nd straight statewide election. And with a strong Democrat in the race, the likelihood of Vitter’s LCRMPAC (modeled after Tom Delay’s ARMPAC) being successful and taking the Louisiana Legislature for the Republicans (helping them redistrict Democrats out of a seat in the House) is slim to none.

Someone or some organization needs to purchase full page newspaper ads in all major newspapers in the state to explain Vitter’s PAC to voters. By the way, The Dead Pelican claims Foti will release an opinion today.
That website is a total joke. The poor Republicans are scared!
Actually, I heard that 5% total on the radio. I looked through the actual results and I do not think that is the correct number. The difference is definitely not a number that the LAGOP likes though. That is for sure. They are worried. If they where not, why else would they focus so much attention on someone who hasn’t even formerly declared yet because of those legal issues.
