More Jindal Campaign Hypocrisy!
May 2nd, 2007 by Daniel Z.
Congressman Jindal contacted the Governor, telling her that he hoped that there is a “reasonable explanation” as to why there seems to be not enough money in the Road Home account.
Blanco’s answer was clear. The reason that Louisiana doesn’t have enough money is because the Federal Government hasn’t given us enough (even though they gave Mississippi what they needed). Blanco criticized Jindal for voting against Louisiana.
Then, in an ironic twist, Jindal spokesperson Trey Williams stated that Blanco was resorting to “unprofessional finger-pointing”. Um, hello kettle, this is the pot. You are black!
Jindal points a finger towards Blanco and he is justified. However, when Blanco points out the reason why there is a funding shortfall and that reason is that the Republicans are against the funding bill that would have provided us with the needed funds, she is now “unprofessional”? Give me a break!
Bobby Jindal and his campaign need to look at themselves in the mirror and perhaps they will see who is exactly at fault for Louisiana not having enough funding to help in recovery efforts.
If Jindal was actually concerned about homeowners in hurricane affected areas, he wouldn’t have voted against HR 1591.

And to those people who would claim that I do not like Jindal because of his ethnicity (despite my several other disclaimers on this blog), I will place the disclaimer again.
In an election between Bobby Jindal and David Duke (or someone like him), I would vote for Bobby Jindal and put his bumper sticker on my car. (I figure I need to say that every couple of posts just to keep the illogical “well you must be a racist” comments to a minimum).

(5 votes, average: 4 out of 5)
Apparently, Blanco believes that Jindal is acting more like Chicken Little.

And since these funds are coming from the Federal Government, isn’t it the fault of the Federal Government (and not Blanco) if the funds run short?
Perhaps instead of attacking Blanco, Jindal should be taking “action” in Congress and working to get those funds increased.
Oh wait, I forgot. With a power ranking of 432, Jindal would probably not be successful in getting anything accomplished for us.
Roger F. Villere, Jr., Chairman of the Republican Party of Louisiana, today issued the following five questions to Governor Kathleen Blanco’s office regarding the shortfall in Louisiana’s Road Home Program budget:
1. What is the amount of the expected shortfall in the Road Home Program?
2. What is the Administration’s plan to solve the problem?
3. Which Administration official first discovered the shortfall?
4. What did the Governor know…and when did she first know it?
5. Prior to Congressman Jindal’s letter bringing this matter to the attention of the public, when did Governor Blanco plan to inform the citizens of Louisiana about this problem?
You having fun Dan Zimmerman??? I am for sure!!!!! Yeeeeeeeee Hawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!
David Duke. haha. Love the disclaimer
It’s long been known there was not enough money in the LRA for all of the claims. I fault the Administration for making it so cumbersome to get the money out to the people. I believe if they would have acted responsibly and deligently they could have went back to the Fed’s seeking additional funds to fulfill the claims. The slowness of the process made it look like a political ploy to put money in people’s hands right before the election. Mr. Jindal’s timing is impecable! Where was he for the last year. At the very least he should have been pushing for his constituents in LA01. Afterall that was federal money. Ah, I remember what he was doing, he was campaigning for re-election and Governor! It didn’t matter then his constituents were in need. Now it’s a big issue. Mr. Jindal come on man. That was kinda like the guy living in a glass house, he shouldn’t throw stones.
So what have you done about this problem Tony g. Have you looked in to where the money is going or how much is being wasted in paying a company that is not doing their job.But then again why should we expect a leader and not someone just crying it is somebody eles fault.
Tell me Tony why have a Governor at all if the governor is not expected to lead the state.Or you that type person who plans on crying it was someone else fault i didn`t do my job.
Blanco knew the money was not there and decided to hide the fact from the people.
the feds send us 10 billion and we only set aside 6 and some change to use, i guess that was bobby’s idea. We send 700 million to a little company to write checks, I guess that was bobby’s idea. We use some more money to pay for TV/Radio spots, I guess that was bobby’s idea…I think you are right, the feds should send us some more money, I only got 100K in my freezer, I need a little more.
…black jack is not gambling, woman!, how many times do I have to tell you?…
