Jindal says Craig should resign but not Vitter?
Aug 30th, 2007 by Daniel Z.
Back when the David Vitter scandal broke, Jindal was quoted as saying
“This is a matter for the senator to address, and it is our hope that this is not used by others for their own political gain.”

But when it comes to Senator Craig and his scandal, Jindal has called for him to resign. Shouldn’t this be a personal matter for Senator Craig to address? Why doesn’t Bobby Jindal think that this incident should be used for political gain? Is it because Jindal is a hypocrite?

Easy answer. Craig pled guilty to a crime. Vitter has neither pleaded guilty to a criminal act, nor has he been indicted or convicted of anything.

I would like to sincerely apoligze for the vulgar and innapropriate messages I have left on your site. They are immature and juevenile and I am truly sorry for my statements. They were born of frustration and anger. You have every right to your opinions of Mr. Jindal just as anyone does, and you do not deserve to be attacked for them. Although I don’t agree with much of what you post on this site, you do argue your points intelligently and thoroughly. I hope that you will accept my apology, and that we can continue to debate in a respectful, dignified way.(especially on my part!)
Sincerely,
Phil McCrackin
Nick: It’s a small difference. Do you think Bobby Jindal feels that what Vitter did was moral or legal?
Phil: Perhaps if you would use a name other than “phil mccrackin”, perhaps I would believe you. Actions speak louder than words. I would be more than happy to have a civil discussion with anybody about any disagreement we might have about Congressman Jindal and whether he would make a good governor. I don’t ask that you agree with me, I just ask that you be civil.
Piyush “Bobby” Jindal is a hypocrite for supporting Vitter but condeming Craig. In truth all three of them are hypocrites in their word and actions.
Vitter spewed so much anti-gay venom, claiming incorrectly that by allowing two people of the same sex to love, honor and respect each other until they die will be detrimental to those people of opposite sexes who have taken similar vows. Yet Vitter trampled on his own vows to his wife and God by employing prostitutes. What a hypocrite. There were no gay couples involved in his actions. Blaming gays and lesbians for problems in society is the diversionary tactic Hitler and the Nazis used against the Jews.
Craig has proudly stood against any measure to give civil liberties to gay Americans. Making similar claims as Vitter that the increase in divorces is somehow the fault of gays. (Yet he tried to have gay sex in an airport bathroom, where any child could have walked in. What kind of family value is that?) Most gay and lesbian people I know, including myself, would never think of having sex in a bathroom. Those people who do go for that kind of activity are usually super-closeted, insecure, and unhappy people, who often gay bash to divert attention to themselves. Hypocrites.
Now to Piyush Jindal. His hypocrisy is found in his tacit acceptance of Vitter’s actions and condemnation of Craig. Craig’s guilt and shame were confessed to and recorded, and now the worm is trying to wiggle free of his actions. (He probably hates gays more now than before.) Vitter’s imoral behavior and criminal activity hasn’t been punished because the statue of limitations has run out, and right-wing media, prosecutors and law enforcement let that happen. By not calling for Vitter’s resignation in the same way as he has called for Craig’s, Piyush Jindal is a hypocrite. But we knew that already; he’s a republican.
It is just easier to replace Craig with another Republican instead of Democrat. It is that simple….
