Jindal on Hannity and Colmes
Aug 31st, 2007 by Daniel Z.
He was speaking about the “Jindal on Religion” ad that has caused such a controversy. And while the ad did get certain things wrong, Jindal flat out lies on national TV.
Jindal says “The only time I talk about those other denominations, i talk about what my own church can learn from those denominations”.
I believe I need to call a big old “Bravo Sierra” on that one. Anyone with two eyes and a brain can read that Jindal is talking about the other denominations in the entire article. And while he does talk about what his church can learn from those denominations, he is not very accepting of those religions.
He claims that he is talking about what the churches have in common, and that is utter bull as well. He speaks about why the Catholic Church is right, and that reason is because it is the only entity capable (according to him) to interpret the bible. Why? Because humans are “utterly depraved”, “selfish”, etc.
Again, should they have run this ad? No. However, Jindal is currently applying for the job of “Governor of Louisiana”. It typically is not a good idea to lie on your application.
And one more thing, and perhaps this has been missed by many, but the discussion turned to John Edwards and his haircuts. Jindal states: “I dont think that the … $400 haircut would have gotten the attention it did if it wasn’t for the [two americas] rhetoric”. Well, if Jindal didn’t make his religion one of his campaign tools, it would also not get as much attention as it has. I wonder if that point was lost on Jindal.

Poor Bobby, he’s so innocent. He hasn’t disrespected anybody this summer. He’s been a straight up guy. Just ask the organizers of the Greater Baton Rouge Association of Health Underwriters. They just recently cancelled their Gubernatorial Forum because after numerous failed attempts to get a response from Bobby about his presence Boasso backed out. Jindal was deemed a no show. Organizers are somewhat dismayed ecspecially after their organization contributed heavily to Bobby’s campaign account. Maybe he’s just misunderstood. Hey it’s Bobby the wonder boy. Bobby attacks people’s morals. That’s okay! Hey it’s Bobby! I could go on and on. The hypocrisy coming from the Bobby Jindal bus is getting pretty smelly. Some of the pie eyed people need to sit back and truly be honest. Look at what’s happening. We can’t even focus on the real issues. Money and leadership do not go hand in hand. People jumping parties because their feelings get hurt, people wanting to jump parties because they might get more votes, people throwing stones at everyone while crying a foul has been committed against them. Is this the type of leaders you want? I’m flabbergasted. Again, money and leadership do not go hand in hand.
I couldn’t agree more, Tony! I am always suspicious of people like Boasso and Georges who are willing to spend millions of their own dollars to get a job that pays what the LA Gov. position pays!
Can you say “corruption”? Does anyone honestly believe that if Boasso or Georges were elected they wouldn’t use the office to make themselves and their chronies even richer! Give me a break!
Not any more so than Jindal would, thats for sure. You think that the financial majority of his contributors expect nothing in return except him as governor? Hah!
Anyone who reads this…..these people who have commented against Bobby Jindal are the reason why Louisiana might not ever change. My denomination is considered protestant, and I have never been offended by anything that he has said. In fact, I know of several non-catholic churches in north Louisiana where Bobby Jindal spoke. I may not represent all forms of protestant churches, but as for mine, we support Bobby Jindal. As for him challenging peoples morals, he wouldn’t be much of a runner for governor if he didn’t and things in LA would always stay the same or get worse. I am ready for a change in Louisiana. I am ready to finally have someone who embraces Christian morality rather than making a mockery of it. Jindal is a good man and we need him as governor!
wow: You may feel that commenting about Jindal will cause our state to not change. However, electing Jindal is not bringing change to Louisiana. Bobby Jindal is a cog in the existing machine. He is not a breath of fresh air, he is stale.
We need him for governor like we need a hole in the head.
