“Jindal has yet to participate in a candidate forum in the governor’s race.
His campaign manager said Jindal will participate in a Sept. 27 debate at Louisiana Public Broadcasting and an Oct. 17 WAFB/WWL debate.”
And why should we believe he will not duck those as well? Bobby Jindal is interviewing for the job of “Governor of Louisiana”. If I applied for a job and my bosses wanted me to come out and answer some questions, you better believe I would show up.

VOTE IN THIS POLL
Who will you vote for in the Louisiana Governor Race?
He wont show up when he finds out Tony G will be there!
Jindal is a rubber stamp for this party? Ha. No wonder he is bad.
Why should Bobby debate the chihuahuas nipping at his heels? Why should he lower himself to their level? Bobby is playing in the big leagues, and these other clowns are barely in the minors! Why should he give them any credebility just by gracing them with his presence? Take a look @ the polls and the donor figures! These guys couldn’t touch Bobby with a ten foot pole! Bobby could take a nap from now through election day and still get 60%!
Phil: Jindal should show up because the voters deserve it. That is all. Showing up to a debate is not lowering ones self to anyone elses level. That argument is like saying that if I was going to go apply for a job and I absolutely knew I was the most qualified for the job, that I shouldn’t bother showing up to the majority of the interviews.
If Bobby Jindal is that good, he should prove to us that he is that good. If he is incapable of defending himself against any attacks put foward by his opposition, doesn’t that say something about his inability to lead us as governor to begin with?
And isn’t his refusal to attend debates a clear sign that there are flaws in his record that he doesn’t want exposed?
You may be right. Bobby Jindal may very well be able to just sit back and do nothing and win this race. However, the people deserve better from anyone who wants to be the next governor. The people deserve to see each and every candidate, flaws and everything, and determine who the best person is for the job NOT who is the person with the most political skills.
well i had to come on here to defend jindal, first i must say i can’t wait till he is gov them maybe this state can be a state and not a piece of trash. 2nd. i belive he knows what he is doing by waiting on the debates. he is smart he is waiting to see what others do on there campiengn so he can do it better. i would do the same.. haha i am a christian and there are born again christians in the catholic church sorry to burst your bubble any way for those that want to put done a very worthy gov then be my guess but i can tell u don;t care about ur state…ty
You know, I think it is about time that we have a State like many others in this country. There are too many states were candidates have to discuss the issues or they don’t get any respect and votes. We need a real grassroots candidate that will meet with the people.
For Louisiana to turn around, people are going to have to start voting on the issues, not the brand name or party. If we are going to talk about ethics, then transparency is probably the cornerstone of ethics. How is jindal being transparent and ethical by passing laws that are already on the books and stealing ideas from other people? How is Jindal being transparent by not going to debates? IF there is one thing we need more of in Louisiana it is transparency in our government. If he wont go to the debates and discuss the issues then he has another agenda.
Jindal wants to win governor through his campaign strategy. We want a governor that has a strategy for Louisiana.
What is Jindal’s plan for the State? Does he have a plan or is it a secret plan for his buddies? I am afraid that with Jindal we will continue to get the cold shoulder while business is done behind closed doors. The only light and information coming out of Jindals camp will just be more spin.
And what is our plan for Louisiana? Who gets to come up with the questions for the Debates?
Where does Corporate party Jindal stand on this issue?

Good post FP.
FP: I agree, absolutely great post!
Brett: The point about him ducking debates is that while it may be the “politically smart” thing to do, hasn’t our problem been that we elect people who are “good politicians” instead of “good public servants”?
