Is Jindal Capable and Ethical?
Oct 31st, 2006 by jindalisbad
While reading through my daily news today I came upon a quote from Riley Hagen at the Shreveport Times:
The answer is not to elect politicians who could perhaps trade bad votes in Baton Rouge yesterday for pork in Shreveport today; the answer is to elect more capable and ethical people at every level of government. When Bobby Jindal is elected governor, a significant step will be made in the right direction, but that is a column for another day.
First of all lets not even think about the title of this post yet but rather the quote, “When Bobby Jindal is elected governor..” the man isn’t even running for governor right now and when he did he lost the vote from the public. But I digress.
The question at hand is “Is Jindal Capable and Ethical?”. I suppose you could say he is capable, capable of making bad voting choices as I have shown throughout this website/blog but I assume she is talking about “capable” in the better light. Now of course he has made some good choices but it would seem to me on the really important issues Mr. Jindal has been leaning way on the right side on conservatism.
Now is the man Ethical? I would consider him an ethical person, I doubt some of the democrats would consider Mr. Jindal an ethical person as they point out some of his un-ethical stances on a few issues. Here is a snipit from a local candidates page. Source
Voted to award $1.4 billion of our tax dollars to War Profiteers and special interests during a budget crisis, including pork for developing sci-fi “Nanotechnology.” [H.R. 2863] Voted against the testing of respirators for occupational exposure to tuberculosis for the nation’s First Responders. [H AMDT 346 to HR 3010] Voted to award $45.25 billion to War Profiteers like Halliburton and Bechtel for another six months, despite massive fraud and $8.9 billion of our tax dollars missing. [HR 2863] Voted to reward billionaires like Paris Hilton with a permanent tax break during a time of War and record budget deficits. [HR 8] Voted to reward Banks and Credit Card companies and hurt the average American with the obscene Bankruptcy Bill, shifting more wealth to the uber-wealthy. [S 256] Voted for a Constitutional Amendment dictating forced idolatry. [H J RES 10] Voted against doctors and their patients by preventing doctors from prescribing the best medicine for the individual patient in favor of Big Pharma Special Interests. [HR 2862] Voted to reward Oil Barons making over $500 billion a year in PURE PROFIT with huge tax breaks. [HR 6] Voted to bully the world at the UN, further isolating the United States in a time of War. [HR 2745] Voted for special interests and against the weak and infirm by allowing hospitals to refuse health care to those without insurance. [HR 5] Voted to endanger workers’ safety by neutering OSHA and rewarding corporate malfeasance. [HR 741]
Not to mention the very intersting ad campaign they are running.

Jindal claims to be ethical.
However, he voted to weaken House ethics rules during the whole Tom Delay ordeal. He also accepted money from the now defunct ARMPAC (Tom Delay’s Americans for a Republican Majority PAC). He has also accepted campaign donations from people tied to Jack Abramoff.
Is that ethical? You be the judge.
Very true, Dan you should blog on JindalIsBad.com. You up to it?
Sure!
Hit me up sometime then. jindalisbad@gmail.com
If he could do a job right. Halliburton is no friend of this country and they have blatantly discriminated against veterans. I can provide some very damning eveidence.
