   Louisiana is a laughing stock as it is… Jindal just makes it more ridiculous.

   What his latest Photo Op and spin about? Or is he just laying low as Jobs and young educated people leave the State?

   What is he doing about all the land south of highway 90 that will soon become the Gulf of Mexico? Head in the sand on that too?

   I LIVE in Louisiana and I can tell you Bobby Jindal is Fantastic! He has trurned this State around and he is very loved here so please don’t believe the propaganda yuou read… he is great and the best thing that has ever happened to Louisiana!!! Bobby Jindal would make an excellent president.. far better than the huge mistake just made in this country by electing Barrack Obama.

   Caroline: How did Jindal “turn this state around”? When he approved a law that would eliminate transparency on his office, how was that “turning the state around”? When he approved a law that would make it harder to convict people of ethics violations, how was that “turning the state around”?

   I guess you can say that Jindal did a real 360…. of course when you turn around that far you are just back where you started.

   The only turning around that was done by Jindal is the spin.

   Raj: There are conservatives that I don’t have problems with. And had Jindal actually been sincere when it came to ethics reform I would have at least given him credit for that.

   Unfortunately for Louisiana, Jindal was not sincere about ethics reform and he has made his office the least transparent in the land. He has also made it harder to convict people of ethics violations.

   Sorry, but I really don’t care about ethics while we’re in a huge deficit. What’s MORE distressing is Jindal’s hatchet job on the healthcare and higher ed system. I also live in LA and we are LAST in the US rankings for health (highest obesity rates, infant mortality, and cancer rates in the US) and LAST in the US rankings in education. How is cutting the budget for healthcare and education programs “turning Louisiana around?” How about cutting corporate welfare and cutting DOTD and using our surplus on transportation projects instead of effectively making Louisianans less healthy and less educated. Do sick, stupid people vote republican?

   You don’t care about ethics? Are you kidding me?
   Yes, Jindal has gotten away with butchering the healthcare system and passing it off as a miracle that saved the system.
   But he is being touted as the ethics champion. You can’t fight that by saying “but he ruined healthcare”. You have to fight it by showing that he really is not a champion of ethics reform.

   Who writes this shit??? Do you somehow think that we were better under the leadership of someone like Kathleen Blanco? There are a lot of problems in this state that have nothing to do with who the current governor is and more to do with the idiocy of the people of Louisiana. For some reason you all think you have a right to nothing but the best. Yet, in stead of doing anything to change what is happening, you sit here on your high horse and bash whoever is in charge. I can guarantee that whoever you are you would have a problem with whoever was in that position. Get off you ass and do something to make the state better. Teach your kids to @*#(*$# read and write. Or do you want to tell me Jindal is the reason Louisiana comes in dead last every single year in education?

   Leslie: Why is it that Jindal supporters STILL make their arguments about Blanco? People brought up Blanco in the last election and she wasn’t even running!

   There may be a lot of problems in Louisiana that have nothing to do with the current governor (and those problems are likely to continue regardless of who the governor is). But those issues are not relevant to the problems that we have because of Jindal.

   Some of those problems include the fact that because of legislation he signed into law his office is no longer under the public records law AND it has now become harder to convict people of ethics violations.

   Perhaps the way to change what is happening is to educate people about what his happening. And the media sure as hell isn’t going to do that because for the most part the media is in the tank for Jindal.

   When my child (who is less than a week old) is ready to learn how to read and write I will be doing everything I can to start his education early. So it is rather silly of you to make assumptions about what I intend to do with my child.

   Jindal may not be the reason Louisiana comes in dead last in education. However, his plans do not inspire me to think that we will raise our ranking by any significant amount.

   Jindal IS the reason why we are dead last when it comes to transparency in the governors office. That is because of his signing of that bill I mentioned earlier where the Governors office is no longer included in the public records law. This means that they can deny any request for information about their office, giving us no recourse in doing any checking on what the Governor is actually doing.

    So much smoke and mirrows. I become dizzy just trying to comprehend the zealotry that the Jindal cult worshippers display. Get ready for bad news. We are in a depression. But Jindal says our employment gained. The states fundamentals are good. That sounds familiar. Let’s see, who was it that said the same thing about the nation? Oh Yeah! That was Bush and McCain. As Pyush jets around sucking up to rich Republicans our wetlands dissapear. Soon, in the not to distant future, oil wells that were once in state waters or land, will be ceded to the federal government because the coast line has dissapeared byond 3 miles. Jindals control of a $1,000,000,000 slush fund is the height of hypocracy. He just spent $100,000,000 on the boondockle Morganza to the Gulf levee. That’s the one that is poorly designed, inproperly and negligently soil tested, and flat out will protect no one. Payback for the Cajuns helping him get elected. He could have spent that on wetland restoration. But, NO, people with intrests in engineering companies believe they need the money more. Do you remember how Jindal promised more money for the education system? Well, forget that. The education budget will be cut by 30% and thousands of jobs will be lost and our education system will pay dearly for supporting Jindal. And lets not forget that Jindal missmanagment of the Health System resulted in a debt to the federal government of over $700,000,000, because of impropper payments to providers. Genius!!! Simply declare yourself to be so and WHAM!!, people will ignore the facts. It is shameful that the video, TV, Radio and print media are part of the Jindal cult. The state will continue to become more ignorant of facts that would sink Pyush. May God have mercy on thier souls.

    Well, Bobby Jindal is good for Louisiana as our Gov. Look at the whole world with bad economy. Are you guys are nuts?. Is this do with Race issues guys because he is not Black. Even Obama does not have any idea about the economy. Obama may be school smart but not politically smart. It seems Jindal is smart in both ways. These days Black or White is not the issue any more. It is the economy stupid. Economy is the bottom line. Who knows there could be a major world wide war by 2013. So take a pick, who can lead a nation by 2013 and beyond. I know Obama is not going to the president beyond 2011 because he does not have what it takes to be the president.

    Michael: This absolutely has nothing to do with race. Did you bother to read the arguments made in other posts of this blog? Had you done so you would see many examples of our criticisms of Bobby Jindal, none of which have anything to do with his race. Jindal could be white, black, brown, blue, purple, green or gold. I oppose him because of the policies he proposes, his hypocrisy on ethics, and the issues he supports. Period.

    It seems to me that Jindal supporters assume that hatred of Jindal must be based on his race because they cannot see any other reason to oppose Jindal. I suggest you take the time to research Jindal beyond what the right wing punditry says. You will be surprised when you learn the truth.

    Do you know, for example, that Jindal campaigned on increased transparency in Louisiana Government but he signed a bill that removed his office from the public records laws?

    Daniel: Cannot the same thing be said for the Obama cult supporters??? To quote you, Obama could be white, black, brown, blue, purple, green or gold I would still oppose him because of the policies he proposes, his hypocrisy on ETHICS, and the issues he supports. He can yell from the highest tower that he has the most ethical and transparent administration ever but those are just words and the actions that he is doing speaks volumes. He has numerous lobbyist’s in his admin, which he said he would not do but now that he is in office has given “WAIVERS” to them. He has nominated tax cheats over and over and we now have one as our IRS chief. He also consistently LIES about no earmarks in any of the stimulus or omnibus bills when there are THOUSANDS in there…….jeez give me a break…..

    If Bobby Jingal will run for President, we will never vote for him, Republicans must do better than this guy, If Republicans want to winn in 4 years, than keep this guy away, Republicans will not vote for this guy, he is weak, he is repulsive, and he sounds like a looser. If this is the Best Republicans can do, than God Help us. This guy is not any material for President. His speech was dull, flat, make me want to run away for my TV set.     Mike: The other Michael in this thread questioned if this was all about race for us. I explained why it wasn’t. I would never presume that someone who voted against Obama is a racist just because he/she voted against Obama.

    Of course, I love the defense you are using. “But Obama is doing it tooooooo!”. That didn’t work when we were kids with our moms, I don’t think it will work today either. Whatever you believe Obama has done, it doesn’t change Jindal’s hypocrisy.

    Increasing unemployment, no transparency in his office (self granted exclusion from transparency laws), a billion dollar slush fund that he, and he alone, controls, unenforceable ethisc laws, more plant closures while Piyush proclaims we’re doing better, overwhelming numbers of illegal aliens taking many of the construction craft jobs (at lower pay), continues to support (with a $100,000,000 check) fataly flawed Morganza to the Gulf levee, AND an ecomonic model , that old bankrupt Reaganomics, that has driven this country into its SECOND DEPRESSION. That sums up Jindals vast accomplishments nicely. Any questions?
