Does Jindal respect intellectual property?
Aug 8th, 2007 by Daniel Z.
LSU doesn’t own the colors of purple or gold. LSU doesn’t own the rights to the word “Tiger”. However, the phrase “Tigers for Jindal” with purple and gold colors on a bumper sticker will create an obvious connection to LSU and it seems that the school is not too happy with the Bobby Jindal campaign.
LSU Chancellor Sean O’Keefe responded to the bumper stickers by saying “LSU does have strict guidelines and standards for the use of its marks and colors and closely monitors infringement on the university’s trademark rights. Several recent campaigns have used the school colors, and we took steps to curtail such use.”
The chancellor went on to write that “We have been made aware of the issue you reference, have already contacted the campaign, and they have agreed to stop producing and distributing the materials.”

However, the Jindal campaign has stated that they will continue to distribute the stickers.
The Bobby Jindal campaign is clearly looking to use the school spirit generated by LSU fans in order to rally people around his campaign. However, LSU has the right to control who uses images that refer to them. They also have the right to make sure that people do not wrongly create a connection between LSU and the Bobby Jindal campaign. Congressman Jindal needs to respect the intellectual property rights of LSU. To do otherwise would be plainly unethical.

Let L S U and the Democrats take him to court, if they think they have a case.
Until then your just running your fat azz mouth.
Again, is fortunate that there are NO reader on this site.
This site is ask big a loser you are !
I hope Mr. Jindal’s grammar and spelling are better than yours. Your post makes no sense.
Mr. Jindal, who did not even attend LSU, nor any other LA University has the audacity to endorse all of the State Universities this way.
Well, it looks the Jindal campaigned decided to do the right thing.
http://www.2theadvocate.com/news/acadiana/9079186.html
“His press secretary, Melissa Sellers, said Thursday the campaign is out of the “Ragin’ Cajuns for Jindal” stickers.
She would not answer a question on whether more stickers will be ordered. Sellers said the campaign will not be printing additional “Tigers for Jindal” bumper stickers.”
Though, I wonder if they will be destroying any that they have left or if they will continue to distribute them.
Mr. Z.,
You are a pathetic excuse for a blogger! Is your life so void of substance that you have to spend all of your time trying to tear down a great man like Bobby? You couldn’t carry Bobby’s jock-strap! He is ten times the intellectual you could ever even wish to be! Get a life, you worthless piece of trash!
Respectfully,
Phil McCrackin
The dem party is dead in this state! Good old boys like Dan Zimmerman, Boasso the goomba, and Don Corleone Odom have run this state into the ground for the benefit of themselves and their family and friends. Mr. Zimmerman, have you ever criticized dingbat Blanco’s failures as the worst gov. in LA history? I sincerely doubt it!
Jillil,
We are trying to help you. You don’t realize how bad Republicans are. they don’t care about anything except making money. Profits allways come first. That is the whole reason they exis as a party. Check this out: Republicans insisted this not be shown. Why? Are they afraid of the truth? http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=6cJlJudDtVE
They did the same thing to Louisiana after the disasters as they are doing in that Video. Can’t you see it? Open your eyes.
Yeah, im a “good old boy”. Thats a first.
Blanco is not running, there is no reason to worry about her anymore. It is laughable that you would continue to compare Jindal to the person who BEAT him and who is not running again.
If it what you say is true and Blanco is the worst governor in Louisiana’s history then that makes Jindal look REALLY bad because he couldn’t even beat her in an election!
And i doubt Bobby Jindal has even worn a jock strap. He would probably look as uncomfortable in one as he does in the hunting outfits he wears in order to try and attract the sportsmen vote.
Of course, none of what you said has anything to do with the topic of this thread. It just shows you are an idiot who lacks the creativity to come up with an original name.
Jindal leads comfortably in latest poll
Posted by Capital bureau August 13, 2007 4:01PM
A new statewide poll in the Louisiana governor’s race shows Republican candidate Bobby Jindal with a strong lead over his competitors, including one question that listed New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin in the lineup of candidates.
In a telephone poll conducted Aug. 3-6, Southern Media & Opinion Research Inc. of Baton Rouge asked 600 likely voters who among the major candidates they would vote for if the election “were held today.”
Jindal, a congressman representing the 1st District, led with 63 percent, followed by state Sen. Walter Boasso, D-Arabi, with 14.3 percent, Democratic Public Service Commissioner Foster Campbell with 4.4 percent and Republican Metaire businessman John Georges with 1.3 percent.
In the poll that included Nagin, Jindal had 60.3 percent followed by Nagin with 10.5 percent, Boasso with 10 percent, Campbell with 3.3 percent and Georges with 1.5 percent. Nagin, a Democrat serving his second term as mayor, has not announced his intentions for the future.
The survey has a margin or error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
Danny Ziimerman was never a “good old boy”, he wish.
Danny Zimmerman is always going to be a “Wanna Be”.
All his wasted time on this and other interent sites, has got him nowheres with his little Bob Jindal hate campaign.
As of today Bobby Jindal has a 63% rating.
Once again Danny is making poor decisions. Danny Zimmerman will always be a loser.
Jillil, every post just proves that you are an idiot.
Please keep posting so we can see the kind of people that fall for Jindal’s smoke and mirrors.
Will we see the information about this poll? Will we be shown the questions that are asked? Did the 60%+ say “yes, I am voting for Jindal definitely” or did that include leaning people as well?
Plus, polling data CAN change. Jindal was in the lead in the last election as well, and we all know how that turned out
And on my losing…. I stand up for what I think is right. If at the end of the day I am not successful, well at least I tried. Better than not trying and just letting life pass you by.
But if you like to sit there and just follow who you are told to follow and be a blind little puppy dog, then feel free. It’s a free country.
You are so stupid and eaten up with hatre, you don’t know whats right.
You are out of step with reality, and it shows.
Your a loser, like the rest of the Demo/Homocrats.
I took several friends to hear Bobby Jindal last week on his bus tour. We were unbelievably impressed. They are long time Democrats and plan to vote for him after hearing his plans and talking personally with Rep. Jindal.
Boasso is an embarrassment! His ad campaign looks like it was designed by an 8yh grade class.
I only wish Blanco hadn’t run such a dirty campaign last time and Jindal had been the Governor during Katrina. Louisiana would be in much better shape.
South Louisiana is afraid to give up their crooked control but it’s coming! Honesty and integrity will be Jindal’s legacy.
I don’t know what I will do, seing that I am eaten up with “hatre”.
And im the stupid one?
There was one candidate missing from the panel yesterday. It was ashame the other five can come to the conclusion about what’s important, our future, the children of Louisiana. I see the smoke, the new polls came out right after Georges’ poll and the effort was to try and diguise the fact he didn’t attend a meeting concerning the future of our children. That same candidate missed the meeting with the Louisiana Muncipal Association saying he was out of town when he was actually seen in Monroe on that same day. These are facts not fiction to try and bash anybody. Cold hard facts. Oh by the way did I mention who this person was?
Don’t that just piss you off ?
Your a sad bunch of people, if you waiting for Bobby Jindal to set the agenda for a debate.
You don’t need Congressman Jindal to be there for you to tell the people what YOUR going to do for this state.
If I wish to know what he going to do, I’ll just go to his every informative site.
What are you queer for Jindal ?
You’re standing on his behalf, you might ask yourself that question bro. I just want him to earn his title.
Jillil: No, it doesn’t piss me off that Jindal is a coward who cannot defend his policy positions in public forums.
I think it is funny how as of 730 votes, on you web site against Jindal, 65% say he is not bad for Louisiana. I seems to me that your your web site is failing. I am a democrat who will Vote for Jindal. Why? Because from 1877 to 1980 the Democratic party had TOTAL control of the governor’s office and plenty of chances to improve Louisiana. In 130 years republicans have held the Governors office for 12 of those years. I think that giving the “evil” republicans power periodically would keep democrats on their toes and allow for a more politically functional state. Right now this state has been a politically homogeneous failure. A Jindal win will wake up the democratic party from it’s hundred year slumber and maybe in 4 to 8 years we can actually make progress to becoming mediocre instead of a the back water failure we have been since reconstruction.
If Jindal is a coward, why is jindalisbad.com registered by an anonymous registrar? Oh, and you left out a few apostrophes, smart guy.
ACM: The owner of this site, Rex, has openly stated who he is. I post using my real name. Using an anonymous registrar is a good way to avoid unwanted solicitations from people who use the registration information to send spam and unwanted snail mail. I know that for my personal websites, I have eliminated that mail that I used to get ALL the time.
roopert: No real Democrat who knows the truth about Bobby Jindal would back him. Period. There is absolutely nothing that he has in common with the party.
You want to teach the Democrats a “lesson”, go with Georges. At least he will run the state more like a businessman and a leader and less like an extreme right wing idealogue (like Jindal) whose life experience has been as a follower.
Dennis: How can you look at Jindal’s actual record and see “honesty” and “integrity”.
