Does Jindal Care About The Upcoming Election?

I don’t think that it is any surprise that Bobby Jindal wants to run for Governor of Louisiana and even said it very recently here in this report. But why would he run for re-election to Congress if he didn’t really care about it?

Three days earlier, another Republican, Rep. Bobby Jindal of Kenner, gave a speech to the Lafayette Rotary Club. Lafayette isn’t in his district, but Jindal doesn’t mind stumping here, or in Houma or Gonzales or Thibodaux. When a Rotarian placed a “Jindal-for-governor” placard on the podium before his Rotary Club speech, Jindal didn’t take the bait.“We get that all the time, and we are flattered by it,” Jindal says during a phone interview a few days later. “People ask quite a bit, and I know some people are doing polling. I think it’s natural. People know I’m interested in that office.”
I wouldn’t want a person in Congress who doesn’t want to be there and obviously Mr. Jindal has no intentions of staying. This has got to be one of the most embarassing moments in his campaign.

It’s quite obvious what’s happening here. He wants to secure the Congressional job first. Then run for Governor. If he loses he still has a job. In the real world that’s not a bad ploy. As an elected official whereas people put their trust in you to do a job for them. It’s not to cool. If he runs for Governor We’ll lose one year on Congressional Representation in Washington. If he wins then Louisiana citizens will have to pay for another election. I’ve said it before he needs to be straight up. Just like when it came to endorsing Ray Nagin. Nagin’s endorsement was good enoguh for him as an unknown, untested Mayor. IF he didn’t like what Nagin said or what he had done after the storm he should have explained why he couldn’t endorse him. Nagin and the city of New Orleans have paid politically and economically for Nagin’s endorsement of Jindal. Jindal could not even offer up an explanation to the citizens of Orleans Parish. I don’t have anything personal against Mr. Jindal, I think he takes bad advice when he knows better. He just follows the party line.
