Bobby Jindal To Decide By Year’s End On Governor’s Race
Nov 8th, 2006 by jindalisbad
I’ve posted on this topic before but I figured since Jindal brought it up recently that I would re-visit it. Jindal has made it no secret that he wants to run for Governor of Louisiana in 2008, so why has he been holding it a secret? Maybe he wanted to see with this election how much support he would get? Or maybe he just wanted to spend the 2 million bucks in his campaign fund that couldn’t be used for the Gov. race to put himself out there early?
Whatever his motive it would be a stab in the back if does run for Governor since he was elected to Congress. Who will then represent our great state in Congress, nobody?
Jindal should be more up front rather than play this smoke and mirror game because it’s getting old. Not to mention a pathetic ploy.

You are simply ridiculous. In my opinion, it would be wise of someone who is taking the time out of their life to maintain a website to be sure they know the facts to which they talk about and when speaking in opinion are able to back up their beliefs with logic and reason. Bobby Jindal had over 2.2 million in his campaign fund to spend in this past election. Alot of that was left over from the 2004 election and alot more will be left over in case he decides to run again in 2008. He did not spend 2 million dollars on his campaign by any means. You said in your opening sentence, “Bobby Jindal is making it no secret that he plans to run for Governor in 2008, why then is he holding it a secret?” What is that supposed to mean, you say he’s making it no secret in half the sentence, and then you say he is making it a secret in the second half. I would love for you to e-mail me or simply write on here about any legislation he’s voted for or against to which you disapprove of. You seem to write quite often about how nobody reads his record, I think you read too much of what the bill is called and don’t much look into what is attached to the bill and what it will mean for our state, because that’s what he is there to represent: our state. Good luck with this crummy website.
I’ve written many posts of what he’s voted on that I disprove of. Maybe you should take a minute to read.
The point about the 2 million dollars is that you can’t use funds that were intended for one election (congress) to fund your (state) election. Atleast that is the way I understand it, if you can prove that wrong be my guest.
I’ve backed up everything I have written about. Your doing nothing but pointing fingers, how about anty up some information?
To comment on your secret comment.
It is no secret because he has said he really wants to be Gov, check previous posts. And then he says he will make up his mind by end of the year.
So it’s no secret he wants to run but a secret if he will. Get the point?
Greg T. says that Jindal did not spend 2 million dollars on the campaign. The Times-Pic reported otherwise.
His own newsletter said he was going from Ruston to Kentwood and everywhere in between. I wonder why that is…. hmmmmmmm
Thanks Dan for the backup. I was just hoping Greg T. would pull out his own sources.
So. Are you then also angry at Hillary keeping it a “secret” that she’s running for presdient even though everyone knows she is?
As long as she finishes her term I’m ok with it.
I was vocal when Hillary moved to New York just to run for that Senate seat. I felt it was completely ridiculous and an example of carpet bagging. Of course, I don’t live in New York so I don’t have a say over who they want elected.
I also think that people had very good points when they complained about John Kerry running for President while serving in Congress. If he is too busy running for President, how can he serve the needs of his state? But again, I don’t live in Massachusetts so I don’t have a say in who they elect to the Senate.
However, what Jindal would do by running for governor is worse than what others have done in the past. The reason it is worse is because New York and Massachusetts did not go through one of the worst national disasters in our nation’s history. We have a lot of work that has to get done in Congress to help us rebuild. That cannot get accomplished if one of our Congressmen is too busy back home campaigning for governor. We effectively lose a voice.
If I had my way, if a person holds elected office A and is running for elected office B. And the term for elected office B starts in the middle of the term of elected office A then the person should be required to resign from elected office A.
Hey moron! Two words, Rhodes Scholar! Something that Bobby Jindal has in common with your beloved leader Bill Clinton.
Wow Mr. Dousbag, what a nice informative post.
Well, it goes back to the whole “but he is so smart” retort that they love to pull. The fact that Jindal is a Rhodes Scholar, of course, has absolutely nothing to do what I posted. But they cannot defend his willingness to ignore the needs of the 1st district if he would run for governor next year. So they just have to hope that people keep buying the “but he is so smart” argument. So far it has worked. I have a feeling that one day they will go to that well one too many times.
