Bobby Jindal the Millionaire?
Apr 2nd, 2007 by jindalisbad
I find it very laughable that the Republican party seems determined in painting Breaux as this huge Millionaire with endless money. So I figured we could dig up what Mr. Jindal is worth from his financial records and throw it back in their faces.
OpenSecrets.org puts Jindal’s worth at:
$1,183,049 to $3,170,000
Seems to me that hypocrisy is still a favorite tool of the Republicans.
Dig around and let me know what you find.

If you dig deeper on that page you linked to, youc an see the actual transactions that Jindal has had in the year previous to the filing. In 2005 he purchased 7 investments worth between $50,000 and $100,000. That means he had $350,000 (at least) available to invest. You can also read the PDF that shows what he bought and sold and which investments provide divident income.
I am forced to agree with you though. If the Republican party is going to attack Breaux for being a millionaire, it would seem quite hypocritical of them since Jindal appears to be a millionaire himself!
Yah I checked it all out. Just another reason why this site exists to share truth.
I have never known someone this young who has spent a lifetime in government and still has both of their parents living amass this type of net worth.
Is he required to disclose his wife’s salary arrangement with Albermarle, a Baton Rouge company whch she apparently telecomutes to from the home he had to move to in order to get elected to Congress?
Her company is heavily regulated by the government and holds government contracts. It also has no offices in New Orleans. Normally I would say the spouse should be off limits but when you look at his net worth, it raises some questions.
That exemplifies the reason why I’m running. Someone has to stand up for the everyday people. How can millionaires feel the pain of the average working class citizen. The young college graduates with student loans to repay. Our young graduates are busting at the seams to get rolling with their lives. Many times the have to leave the state in search of greener financial pastures. For the millionaires in place everything is good. They got theirs. One’s financial worth does not constitute qualifiacations for leadership either way. However it does give you a perspective of where thier views point. I’ve stood up for every citizen in Louisiana as an alternative to the norm. I’m just an everyday person with good common sense. You do not have to be a rocket scientist to feel the woes of our state. Sometimes the seemingly hardest problems have the easiest solutions. There’s too many smart people in this state for us to have so much hardship. Louisiana has too much to offer. Louisiana needs a leader that can be unbiased to the rich as well as the poor. To the smart as well as the everyday people. Louisiana needs a leader that can harness all the positives everyone has to offer and put an action plan in place. Hold the people accountable for positive results and completion. I’m that person. You and Tony G, that’s what’s right for Louisiana!
Something else to look at - Breaux is being bashed because he lived out of state in Maryland. When Jindal was Assistent Secretary of Health and Human Services, did he live in DC or here in Louisiana? I’ve looked for the information but cannot find it anywere. If he did live elsewhere, it would be rather hypocritical of him to bash Breaux for doing the same.
What is Mr. Breauxs net worth? Just curious?
Bill H - Jindal did relocate to Kenner from Baton Rouge in order to run for Vitter’s House Seat. Jindal is very familiar with carpetbagging.
actually it was a double carpet bag situation — he moved from DC to LA to run for Gov then from Baton Rouge to Kenner to run for Congress –
It seems all of you have nothing better to base your opinions on, other than how much money a candidate has. How rediculous. Maybe you are correct. Jendal is not ready to the governor of La. He is much too smart to be able to deal with some of the same kind of people who thought Blanco would be a good leader.
My concern with Georges is he touts that he has helped failing businesses, yet he’s CEO of Imperial which has never been in financial difficulty, and began as a tobacco distributor, will be have tobacco in his back pocket?
