    I am not a huge college football fan because the ranking system is far too subjective. There needs to be a playoff system where the conference champions all get a chance to play. There is no reason why Hawaii should be left out of the national championship picture.

    That being said, LSU won they games they needed to win, won the very diffucult SEC championship, and when it came down to it there was no way that LSU should have been left out of the National Championship.

    From an outsider’s perspective, Congressman Bobby Jindal has done significantly more for the State of Louisiana as its Representative than others similarly placed. A person of Jindal’s caliber, drive and integrity will serve as an outstanding Governor. By the way, I have never met Bobby Jindal or personally know him; I only became aware of his accomplishments for Louisiana while doing research on Congressional bills at a Harvard University Library. Bobby Jindal Is Not Bad!

    Faz: Could you please show us what Jindal did as compared to others similarly placed? Such a broad statement is easy to say but harder to back up (im not saying you can’t back it up, however I would expect that you would since you did the research). I do appreciate the manner in which you posted your argument.

    Yeah Daniel Zimmerman I agree with you 100% that College Football does need a Playoff System bigtime but when will they wake up and smell the coffee I really don’t know.

    I think that Bobby Jindal like all other heads of state are put there by an act of God and that this young brilliant Indian will bring a positive change to the state of Louisiana. May the Lord guide him.

    Can you believe that Jindal is now naming JIMMY FAIRCLOTH as his chief legal counsel?..THIS guy is the main lawyer for the Kinder Indian casino!!!!! What does that say about anti gambling governor???…..Unbelievable…..only thing Faircloth has done to get this job is to be one of Jindals biggest money contributors…..This guy is no different than the previous Governors…If this is the example of his WAY then we are introuble…Bad Choice

    Fabian: I don’t think God would tarnish His name by getting involved in politics.

    Stan: It says a lot about Bobby Jindal.

    If you search “Faircloth” in the campaign finance database, you will see that between the 2003 and 2007 elections, Faircloth has contributed $30,000 between his own persona contributions and his corporation Faircloth Davidson Vilar & Elliott LLC (of which he is the registered agent and “member”).

    WST has a picture showing Jimmy Faircloth on hardball where it shows that he is an attourney for the Louisiana Coushatta Tribe (who own a casino in Louisiana)

    I think the phrase “told you so” comes to mind for all of those who doubted Jindal’s sincerity on ethics.

    It is true that “God puts people in Office” and time will tell if Bobby follows God’s Laws or his own laws. I hope Bobby does not follow his predecessors (Louisiana Governors have a bad rap, already !)

    For now, I think he is the lesser of the two evils and I stand by what I said about him being a young brilliant Indian who will guide and transform the state into something better.

    No doubt.

    Bobby Jindal should follow the rules of his religion in his personal life and he should follow the laws of the State of Louisiana as governor.

    The idea that God places people in office is flawed. By your logic, God believed that David Vitter would be the best choice for the job despite his admitted infidelity. By your logic, God chose Bush to win in 2004 even though Bush lied (beared false witness) in his first term. And how about those politicians who I am sure you do not support (like Bill Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, and Kathleen Blanco).

    In fact, you really contradicted yourself by comparing Jindal to those who preceded him. If God picked him, then God picked them as well.

    I fear your faith in Bobby Jindal is misguided. Considering that he is choosing political appointees who have given large sums of money to is campaign, Jindal has basically placed a “for sale” sign on our state.

    Much doubt.

    This is in reply to Michelle and Tony G : Bobby Jindal is not for sale unlike the Louisiaina Politicians before him.
    He is Catholic and Indian and a brilliant young guy, who, if he does the right thing in the eyes of God (the Will of God ) and of his fellow Americans, will reap a rich harvest and one day could be President. Think about it. This man is a God-fearing Indian and Catholic - that’s a rich combination and you can bet your bottom dollar !

    What a minute you said he was the lesser of two evils. The word evil and God aren’t even in the same ballpark. I don’t think deep down he is bad, but he’s been bought. Five years ago he would have down great. Not now. He’s very hypocritical. We could call tht political. Bobby is smart and he’s out for numero uno. Don’t be fooled. The eyes of the truth are always watching. My bottom dollar is sitting in Baton Rouge waiting to be refunded, you think that will happen? If he at least doesn’t try to give a refund to Louisianans he’s no better than anyone else. People need the money in their pockets now.

    Really? So when Jimmy Faircloth funnelled $30,000 to his campaigns by circumventing campaign finance laws and using his law firm to donate above the limit for individuals AND THEN Jindal goes ahead and hires him to be his executive council, he is not for sale?

    And what happens if the company from Colorodo, who donated a pretty penny to his campaign, is then allowed to open a landfill in Louisiana? Will you continue to say he is not for sale?

    His religion, race, age and gender have nothing to do with his ability to be an effective Governor. And brilliance, well, there are people at NASA who are geniuses. I wouldn’t ask them to perform a medical procedure on me. So just because someone is brilliant does not make them qualified to do every job. Nor does it mean that he is not corrupt/corruptable.
