Anti-Jindal ads roll out, GOP lies to defend Jindal.
Aug 15th, 2007 by Daniel Z.
I personally have not seen the first ad yet, though I do intend to later today. However, the first ad is not the much discussed religion ad, but an ad on Bobby Jindal’s healthcare record.
James Quinn, Louisiana GOP Executive Director, claimed that the ads are a misrepresentation and that Jindal has a “great record on health care”. I have to question the integrity of someone who would use a misrepresentation to claim that someone else was misrepresenting the facts.
As it has been shown on this blog, Jindal’s record on healthcare is aweful. When Jindal was head of the Louisiana Department of Health our healthcare rating fell. Jindal has also voted against sick people and sick kids during his tenure in Congress. Running a surplus in a vacuum sounds great. In reallity, Jindal tossed the baby out with the bathwater and his cuts did not help to make the healthcare system any better. If his cuts had made our healthcare system better, our healthcare rating would not have dropped.
But I would not expect the Republican party let those pesky things called “facts” get in the way of their wanting to crown Jindal “King of Louisiana”.
